We just received clarification regarding the shrinking of evidence for all components. Please see the information from NBPTS below:
“Thanks for your email! In addition to the information provided in the Component instructions (also see the Electronic submission at a Glance, last column labeled “Additional Information”), guidelines for formatting evidence is located in the General Portfolio Instructions on page 43.
“Thanks for your email! In addition to the information provided in the Component instructions (also see the Electronic submission at a Glance, last column labeled “Additional Information”), guidelines for formatting evidence is located in the General Portfolio Instructions on page 43.
- Evidence should be formatted to fit onto an 8.5 x 11 page.
- Please note that you should not reduce full-sized pages of evidence to fit more than one piece of evidence onto a single page, but you can combine some types of evidence.
- You'll need to decide the best way to submit your material while still following these rules. If submitting smaller items (including photos and images, but not text), you may format up to six smaller items on one 8.5" × 11" page, which counts as 1 page toward your page total.
- In determining the number of smaller items to include on a single page, keep in mind that each of the items must be large and clear enough for assessors to be able to view relevant details.”
- You will need to revist all your evidence and ensure that anything you are including as evidence for Components 2,3, and 4 is not shrunk down.
- If you have a ½ page exit ticket that is fine, you can include two half pages, but you cannot shrink down student writing samples, worksheets, etc
